Level 2

Its been a while so alot of recapping. 1st Dreycin and I went to my bestie from grad school Stef's baby shower in Minnesota this weekend. Honestly I was really scared about traveling by myself, but Dreycin did great on the flight up and back...and I got away with diaper bag, carry on/roller suitcase, and umbrella stroller. I thought for sure i was going to have to check a bag, but successfully didnt! WOo HOo!! Derek left for Virginia on Monday morning :( Dreycin and I got to hang out with him on sunday night just before he left, originally he was suppose to have left last week but it kept getting pushed back, so im singling it up now its me and Dreycin 24/7 which I love but I can tell is going to be tiring. Stef is 34wks prego with Baby Lance, due June 1st! It was a quick and fun trip. Today we went to our gymboree class which is level 1 0-6mos and Dreycin graduated to Level 2 because....(drumroll) he is tucking those knees under his chest and moving right along and sitting up confidently, so now we for sure have to watch Dreycin's every move. Derek and I somewhat babyproofed the house over the past few weeks because Dreycin's teacher kept telling me do it before he gets to start moving. Now he has bumped his head on the entertainment center, but there is now padding by that! I dont think I have written about the eating in the highchair yet, and if i have oh well. All along i knew I wanted to buy the Graco Blossom its the 4 in 1 seating system, so when you have a 2 yr old in the booster you have a high chair for the little one, plus its all sleek and modern w/ UT LONGHORN colors(i know JP will love that). I ended up ordering the one from Gap because of the colors, but anyways we are now eating in the high chair and Dreycin loves it. We have had peas, carrots, and he seemed to like the mashed potatoes(no gravy,haha) from Texas roadhouse! Dreycin hates carrots, i think we will move on to green beans which I hear is the worst tasting baby food out there. I also got these feeding suckers from munchkin, filled them with the baby food and Dreycin sucked it right out. It was cute, kind of messy but fun! Dreycin is loving bubbles, and comfortably in size 4 diapers(they are kind of big) the size 3 are getting a little too tight as well as the 6-12mos pants in the bum area. I think he is going to have his daddy's "ghetto booty." haha! anyways, I think he is eating about 6.5 oz every 5hrs. He sleeping in his crib from about 10-5am sometimes 5:30am, when he wakes up I just bring him to bed with me until I get up at 6:30am. Derek called me today and was looking at all the baby Marine Corps clothes for babies, be looking for pictures of that soon. I will maybe have time to upload some pics tomorrow. Im working on Dreycin's 3-6month album right now on snapfish, already 75pages....but I would rather do that than have pictures all over the house!! gotta feed my beautiful little boy!

PS props to my hubby who is 175, he lost 20lbs since being diagnosed with high blood pressure, not only are his pressures down but they are saying he probably doesnt even need to take the medication anymore since his weight is down! Love you Derek!

Today we went and applied for Dreycin's passport! cant believe that we are really going to Panama Im sooooo excited~I went ahead and bought dreycin a new highchair, its the 4 in 1 graco blossom and I already LOVE it! tonight we will eat some carrots in it! we've tried peas and carrots so far, peas have been WAY better. Dreycin will blow bubbles while eating the carrots, and gag so i guess he doesnt like them!

Cincinatti/Newport Aquarium trip

THe best way to look at our pics is to start from the bottom, yep I did it backwards...oopss! anyways, this weekend we went on a mini VK before Derek leaves for Virginia. IT was a great time not just for Dreycin but also me and Derek. Not having to worry about daily household stuff, getting away from home, and most of all getting quality time. I have to admit it isnt easy packing for a baby on a trip for a weekend, but guess what got to do it again next weekend because we are going to my godson Lance's baby shower (due June 1st) in Minnesota! Derek wont be able to go, but we'll be going back as a family sometime in the fall for the baptism. Overall Dreycin had such a great time. He went swimming for the first time at the hotel we stayed at and got to see alot of fishies at the aquarium. After that water experience we are definitely starting swim classes come June 1st! And can you believe we got EXCELLENT mexican food from this place in Cincinatti called Nada....i may be going back just to eat mexican food and take a trip to the zoo! We also stopped for a late lunch on our way out at Hofbrauhaus for some German food/beer. It was ookk, we should have gone to Don Pablo's....yes there is Don Pablo's in Northern Kentucky and Ohio! i'll post a few videos in a bit!
