Loving this weekend......
So last night Dreycin slept in his crib from 9pm to 6:15am, ate and then we went back to sleep until 8:50am(him in his crib)!! We got up, played ate again, went to gymboree class, then did some grocery shopping at Whole Foods! We came home Dreycin napped, my mom got up from working last night and asked me if I wanted to go to a movie, well HELL YES, i fed Dreycin and was OUT! I never get to do anything anymore, so not only did I go see THE BACKUP PLAN(which was totally cute), i went and got a mani and pedi! what a 24hrs, just awesomeness. YEs I went alone, but I was perfectly fine with it. I think i may have a glass of wine now that my baby has been down since 9pm, once again. Im praying this pattern sticks around for a while!

Mother's day pics & 6mos checkup!
Dreycin is AWESOME! His Pediatrician told me he was "advanced" for his age, since he can sit up without wobbling and crawl! I think he's a smarty pants because while i was pregnant all i did was study for my social work licensure! he is 28inches long, in the 95%, 20lbs 10oz 90%, and head is still normal 50%. he didnt even really cry after the shots. my mother's day was a blessing, although i did end up going to the ER! i got a massage and pedicure from z salon (aveda), perfume and a marine wife angel. As for my coccyx pain.....yea its a lumbar sachial strain which is most likely from working out and picking up my little bruiser! i started my 32hr work week this week, but im looking forward to my first weekend off in a LONG TIME!

Feliz Dia de la Madre
Happy Mother's day to all the mom's out there, and especially my mom who right now is ALL about me and my family which I am so grateful for! love you MaMA!
and HAppy 1/2 birthday to my little chunker, Im so glad he chose me to be his mommy! I love you more than you know Dreycin.
Funny story: i guess over the past few days I have had this awful tailbone pain, like i fell and broke it. well today I was like ohhh **** i really cant deal with this pain. what i think it is, is coccyx pain, which can be caused from cycling or childbirth.....im thinking its a combo because my elliptical mimics the bicycle motion? anyways im thinking i need to go to the ER because I cant go on like this another day, plus i dont know what i really can take breastfeeding. I know im going to need a muscle relaxer though....gosh what a way to spend my 1st mother's day. On the upside my mom is making me pancakes with chocolate chips and cheese grits...yummmmm!

MOD walk 5/8
This morning was the March of Dimes walk for our Louisville chapter, it was lots of fun! We didnt actually get to walk this year, it was wayyyyy to cold and windy for Dreycin and I didnt want to chance getting him sick so we stayed at my volunteer table took pics, ate some food, and got to see lots of babies! Here are a few pics of Dreycin eating carrots too. We also tried sweet potatoes this week and it was a success, he LOVED them just like his daddy does!

Lupus Awareness Month
May is Lupus awareness month, and May 10th is World Lupus day. To read more about it click HERE
Dreycin is sick, so is my mom. I had a runny nose but that was it. Dreycin cant sleep because his nose is so congested, and when he eats i think the snot causes him to sometimes throw up....plus i had to work 12hrs yesterday with 4hrs of sleep, no fun at all. Ive decided to cut back my hours at my second job, so i'll only be working 8hr shifts 1x a week, because I decided to pick some of my hours back up at my full time job(when i was pregnant my rheumatologist/high risk OB recommended i only work PT) so its back to work I go. Im still working on my next licensure the big L, LCSW we'll see how much I get done in 1yr before we have to leave its usually a 2-3year process.
We booked our tickets to Panama this week, im sooooo excited to share the loves of my life with all my family in Panama! And it works out that my mom is getting to go to! My Aunt Damaris is coming at the end of this month to visit from Canada, cant wait for her to meet El Rey too!
Yesterday was Derby, and it was yet another Derby I missed out on...kind of glad because it was raining all day. We had our own Derby party at work yesterday with Kentucky tradition fun filled foods! Maybe next year i'll make it a point to go to the oaks. It was so cool when I drove by the airport there was all of these private planes yesterday, and this morning they were all lining up to leave.
Derek says he is doing well in Sgt's course, im calling it his vacation because he is living in the barracks like a single man again, watching movies on his spare time, he went shopping the other day, last night he was kicking back having a few beers with the other Marines.....yeaaaa to me that is a vacation.
