For all of you that know about the military, PCS is basically a duty station relocation....and we found out that we will be doing that in May or June 2011 to Fort Benning, GA. Its close to Columbus, about 1hr from Atlanta and closer to Florida.....which would be fun. There is something about moving that I love, going to a new place! I know it sucks actually moving boxes and stuff, but its the thrill of getting to know the culture of that city. Louisville has been great, especially my employment and the birth of Dreycin. A few of my favorites are chilli, the derby, no traffic, and the homestyle cooking! It will always have a special place in our hearts. As well as North Carolina, thats where I got my Master's degree, and Derek and I got married at the JP before our actual wedding! We dont know what the future holds after 2012, Derek is still trying to decide if he will go into the Air Force as an officer or become a civilian. One thing is for sure, we do want to have 1more baby before he gets out of the Marine Corps. And for right now we know our last OB was EXCELLENT, so that means we have to research a Maternal/Fetal Medicine Doctor in Fort Benning, GA and decide if we will have another Baby DeLaVega in Louisville or wait until next year. A little crazy, I KNOW. But i Love being a mom and would do it all over in a heartbeat! Supposedly Martin Army Community Hospital in FT benning has a high risk staff, but wont deliver anyone prior to 35wks and does NOT have a level 3NICU. Thats the information I got when I called the L&D unit, they said I would probably be referred to a Dr. Stauffer out in town, but again I will have to do research. With the lupus Im honestly scared to wait too long before we have another baby, in fear of a flare up. A big factor is our insurance, Ive said it before but we paid NOTHING throughout our pregnancy which is a blessing since we were high risk.
Anyways, a couple of months ago we were going to move into a bigger home, but for now we have decided to stay in our patio home just one more year! Today we went to Sears and bought a new Samsung Steam VRT washer and dryer, partly because the cheap ones we bought when we got married (almost 4yrs ago) have had to be repaired 2x each, and if we spend anymore money on repairing, well we may as well purchase a new set. I'll let everyone know how the steam dryer works, im REALLY excited about that! It even got the JD Powers award for best product! Gosh sears sure has made some money from us this past 6mos : a deep freezer, dyson, and washer & dryer! Ive been working extra shifts, and got a great state return thanks to the Military Spouses Residency Relief Act enacted in November 2009,so i figured WHY NOT!
Aunt flow has made her way back into my life(SIGH)along with awful back cramps, evil hormones that have made my hair fall out in clumps, not to mention that leave me sweating and drenched in bed at night. For a few days I was barely pumping anything at all too, thank goodness for my supply to supplement my hungry little man. Im also on my 3rd round of antibiotics for this bladder infection, and I totally think this messed up my birth control/hormones.....a lot of people dont know your birth control DOESNT work when you are on antibiotics, i swear ALOT of people i knew got pregnant for that very reason! So that leads me to weight loss, its still at a standstill/plateau. Ive been doing Wii fit, biggest loser on the Wii, and even taking the stairs at work, sometimes up to 6floors up! Since being on antibiotics, Ive only had coffee two mornings which has been errrghhh, HARD not having coffee. I just want to see the 160's soon, and definitely 150's before I get pregnant again. Maybe that 3 cycle rumor that Jenny Mccarthy mentioned in her postpartum book will be true for me too, and then I was also told that after you get quit breastfeeding you lose an additional 10 lbs because your body is holding on to fat for storage while you are bf'ing. Oh well the important thing is that I am nourishing my little guy so very WELL!! haha! Im so excited about seeing my family from Oklahoma and friends when we go home. As the time gets closer, I realize that Derek and I are completely in control of what happens and who we see, and in a way im glad its a short 5 day trip. pics to come later, when im off tuesday and wednesday!
yay! baby talk! gosh, doesn't it seem to quick to be thinking about that??
ReplyDeletei know! sean and i already talked about it too!
we're going to start trying when tucker turns 1.
so I've got 6 more months to lose the last 25 lbs!
Speaking of weight, don't worry, it will come off! Just keep at it!
