28wks

We are now 28wks, and on monday we had our high risk fetal echo ultrasound and everything looked good with his heart! Bronson is weighing in at 3lbs 11oz (Dreycin weighed 3lbs @ 28wks)......and there is now a rise of concern that he is too big. We go back in 4wks for another growth scan. We just did the gestational diabetes testing at the beginning of June and I was 89, in a range of 65-139 so relatively low on the scale. So they want to re-test me in 2 more weeks to see if that is why Baby Bronson is growing BIG. I should mention that I do have a genetic predisposition for diabetes, because my father, and his mother and....so on have had diabetes. I went ahead and got the information for the diabetes diet for 1800 calories, because I really dont want to gain too much more weight. im at 16lb weight gain right now, and thats with doing the elliptical /or exercise 3x a week. I also CANNOT stand the freaking heat here right now, I am vowing to stay in as much as I can. My doc thinks this is why I have been getting dizzy spells when we go out in the damned heat! It would be nice if I didnt have so many dr appointments......even though Derek has been off ive been so busy with appointments, sometimes two a day. Sucks moving getting established with new drs for 5million different reasons! Derek mentioned that on my last rant I failed to mention that we are allergic to Albany, no really we have not stopped sneezing or taking allergy meds since we got here. I think I have gone through 6 boxes of kleenex, and there just isnt a whole lot I can do while pregnant! oh joy!

My wonderful husband finished our project of painting the dresser and nightstand we got from a consignment store for Bronson(we already got a convertible crib to toddler bed on craiglist)! We went with a navy blue, that sort of turned out royally navy blue. They are so nice, and are going to go great with our theme which is sea animals with blues. We also ordered some really cool sea themed knobs and are waiting for them to come in!

We are so blessed to have my mom come visit us this week, she should be here anytime tonight but her flight keeps getting delayed due to some thunderstorms....and then next week when she is leaving on wednesday my BF from grad school Stef and her son Lance are coming for a 1wk visit! I cant believe anyone would wanna come visit us in this craphole of a place, Georgia! With the gnats...the heat, and the limited places to go....Derek says "I dont know why anyone would wanna live here."

Georgia....blah.

You know how JamieFoxx sings that song Georgia, and sounds all depressed singing it....well now I know why! Im going to run thru a series of events that have happened to us for us to not have a good impression of Georgia right now, and yes its considered bitching but hey I know its only family and close friends that read this!

1. Infestation of gnats in all of South Georgia so annoying everytime we go outside
2. Our house not being cleaned prior to us moving in (fail #1 of Anderson rental company)
3. Our house missing outlets, fixtures, broken cabinets, light bulbs, screens, house smelled like paint, air conditioner not working properly (1st wk fail #2 of Anderson)
4. Series of hoops to jump through to get doctors here in Albany for Dreycin and I.
5. Derek not getting time off from his unit to help de-shamble our home of boxes, and furniture. We are hoping that this will start tomorroow....

It seems like we are on the phone everyday with our rental company, yesterday it was for our oven getting too hot on outside, air conditioner leak on the pipe in the unit in the house (previous leak was on the outside unit), front glass door lock is stuck and we cant use front door. I honestly wonder how long it was that someone did not live in the house.

All these things that have continuely happened, has caused alot of stress on me and for that reason I have been in the OB's office weekly due to spotting. I never had any spotting late in my pregnancy with Dreycin, but did early on from implantation and (drumroll please) constipation....which no one tells you that can happen. From what the doctors can tell im not dilating, but my cervix is bleeding, and is irritated. no bedrest at this time, but im told to take it easy, keep feet up. Im still exercising, BP is really good usually about 110/70, keeping my weight at 187....but somedays I retain water and the scale will say 192 or 193 and I freak out! The other stressful factor is that we are waiting on Derek's command to tell us if he will have to start traveling here in the states to inspect vehicles as a mechanical engineer. If he ends up having to travel I am going to file paperwork to have the military move Dreycin and I back home, probably to San Antonio so that my mom can help me after or even before delivery. The military continues to keep us on our toes...

There are a few positives right now, Baby Bronson is healthy and we will have another ultrasound this coming week to see him! We also went consignement store shopping and found Bronson's dresser and nightstand.....we plan on painting them and putting new handles on them....pictures to come when the room is all done! Dreycin went PEE PEE in the potty this morning! We had bought the small toilet training potty a few weeks ago, and when Derek or I go to the bathroom Dreycin will sit on the potty too and usually just make the sound like he is going pee.....but this morning I went pee and he sat on his toilet played around sat down once then sat down again and I heard the potty singing and he was peeing!!!! I was so happy, it was a small unexpected joyful surprise! and he was so happy, smiling, and listening to the song....at the end it says to flush the toilet and dreycin did just that! It was so fun! So if Derek does have the next few weeks off, we will probably go ahead and tackle full on toilet training! This morning we also started summer swimming lessons, and it was so much fun! We actually didnt get attacked by the gnats while in the water.....no wonder EVERYONE in our neighborhood has pools its the only thing to do here! And I saved $45 on my first coupon/ad shopping experience yesterday!

New stuff

Well now that we are somewhat settled in, we have a little more space for Dreycin so we bought him a Little tikes kitchen, with grill its so cute and really keeps him entertained. He even makes the sound of water, or when he is pouring the "coffee." He absolutely loved the little kitchen my mom had bought him for her house, so we were confident it would get its use out of the money! We also splurged on a water table for Dreycin, only because I had two coupons plus they were on sale this weekend....but we are having second thoughts on the size. Due to the awful infestation of gnats in south georgia, we rarely go outside unless its early in the morning or late in the evening around 7, so if it were possible we would use it outside but water seems to make the gnats worse at times. anyways, we are debating taking it back and getting something smaller, that uses less than 5gallons of water. We got him the Anchors away pirate water table. This weekend was a very nice and relaxing long weekend, we grilled out every night and continued to deshamble our house full of stuff. We even went to Albany's first farmer's market of the season, and got some great seasonal veggies like okra, tomatoes, cucumbers. In regards to deshambling......All i can say is that we are going to have a huge garage sale before we leave Georgia. We have too much stuff... and with this move came lots of unexpected occurrences, I want to travel a little lighter when we move come May (yes in just 11months).
I have to mention that while im pregnant, im a klutz. I lose things, forget things, and ruin things. In the last month I lost 1 3g iphone (on a flight) and the other day due to carrying a dog, a baby, a diaper bag, and a bag with my 24hr urine sample spilled a drink on Derek's old iphone and ruined it. Maybe its not meant for me to have an iphone......so i decided against getting another one and got a kindle (it will be safe at home next to my bedside). Because I can read about 1 book a week, and is the key to going green never having to buy a book again. Some books should have warning labels for pregnant women, like the book I just finished last night by Nicholas SParks "At first sight" yea please dont read if you are pregnant I was in tears the last 3 chapters. Last night I told my parents I could live off of amazon, shutterfly, and target giftcards forever!
Dreycin and I start swim lessons next week on base, thank goodness they are in the mornings. And supposedly Derek will finally get his 10days off for the move, which means my house will get finished! And I can paint Bronson's letters for his room!
