When I woke up I knew something wasn't right, the night before both Derek and I had an insanely amount of gas? Weird for me, not so much for him....anyways when I got up the next morning I was queasy and I knew right away the stomach bug had invaded my body. I couldn't eat, and when I tried two little crackers with small bites of banana.....it gave me flashbacks of my 1st 2 trimesters pregnant with Lil D, throwing up endless amounts of nothing! So I stuck with small sips of cold cold water, and went to bed as soon as d and B went down for afternoon nap. About 3pm Derekcame home, he had been home during lunch to witness the bug making me question if I was pregnant again?
He let me sleep until 5pm and then the baby needed to eat. I still felt like crap, and now had a temp of 102.2. Awesomeness, and breastfeeding while your sick is so tiresome. While I was up I managed to eat some saltines(no dairy!!!) and sip some all natural no high fructose corn syrup sprite drink.
And then Derek is like I think I may have it too. Well I'm totally bummed bc if we are both sick this is gonna suck!
He goes and lays down from 650-750pm gets up and says he feels a little better. I say ok me and the baby are going to bed goodnight. Not 35min later he sends me a message saying he just threw up everywhere downstairs. Double awesome. Well at least I know I'm not pregnant! I am in too much pain to even pretend I care. On Friday I feel a little better and think ive kicked it in 1 day but I was wrong, Friday night it came back again, this time only queasiness and fever but enough for me to feel awful. Derek went to medical that morning and they gave him some zofran(miracle drug with lil D) and sent him home to get rest.....ya right!!!!
He had 24hr duty sat-sun! Yay for tiredness & recovery :/
So fast forward we are all good now, B's bottom two teeth are coming in and if D even gets in his space he starts screaming! He is sensitive right now, poor thing :(
I've been to yoga this week 2x already, floating right around 158-159, saw 157 while I was starving myself during the sickness!!!!!! Anywho, its been really nice around here lately and we have been taking advantage of that for fear that anyday the gnats and flies will come back to rob us of our entire summer :( sad but true story!

Helpless
This is a post I have debated about writing, it is about sadness, anger, betrayal, and fear. I'm at odds with writing it because I feel like social media can be too personal, you can find out anything about anybody over the Internet now a days, and that is scary after what happened to my parents this weekend. As a social worker, and my own history of depression it becomes clear to me that sometimes I need someone to talk to. Sometimes I journal, sometimes I confide in a friend, write a blog, but this time I just became numb.
My parents and I were talking on the phone, it was around 1030pm on sunday. They were walking home from getting frozen yogurt, the next thing I knew my mom was screaming for like 5-10seconds and then the phone hung up on me. I was confused, and started yelling for Derek and then I kept stumbling telling him what had happened bc I was anxiously redialing my mom's cellphone number over and over again. No answer. Somehow I managed to tell Derek to call my dads phone. My dad answered and I said Dad, what happened are you ok? He said No, damn it we are not. We just got robbed. He said they were running to the sonic just down the road, and I was in shock. My dad said there were two mexican men, he had hit the guy who tried to attack him, and then he got hit and the robbers drove off. Meanwhile my mom was told at gunpoint by the other mexican to turn off her phone, (I didn't hear that bc she was screaming so loud). He tried to grab her purse but it was an over the shoulder and he couldn't get it off of her. I think he saw my dad was hitting the other guy and decided that this was more than they bargained for, let my mom go and she started running toward the middle of the street. She said she was so sad because she was leaving my dad behind to fend for himself. My dad now thinks that the guy with the gun hit him, bc he saw the other guy's eyes roll into the back of his head after he hit him in his left temple with the flashlight he was carrying. I didn't get all of this from them during that first conversation bc I started telling them to call the police right now. They were in shock, just trying to get away. Thinking back I am glad I hadn't called my dads phone right away bc then the robbers might have tried to steal from him too. The robbers only took my mom's iPhone. Thank god nothing more, after this happened I just kept thinking how much my parents mean to me and how hard life would be without them. When the incident occurred I thought that a car had hit them, well more my dad because I didn't hear anything coming from him on the phone. Scariest moment of my life, enough I would say for the PTSD I was diagnosed with 10yrs ago to creep back in letting me know that when trauma happens it needs to be talked about. A few "emotion" words have stuck with me since this happened. Helpless. Sad. Angry. Irritable(with kids & myself). Hurt. Shame. Worry. Fear. Anxiety. Powerlessness.
So many should have, could have, would have, have run through my head along with my mom screaming. It's on replay. When it happened my mind switched to security, i changed my moms passwords to all important accounts. If you ask me now, I have different opinions about iPhones and security.....now. I finally left the house and kids today, went to yoga where I tried to disconnect and focus on me, but no such luck. I did feel better though. I also wrote a journal entry that said basically this same stuff, but with more emotional meaning. I'm numb with sadness, right now I just want to get on the next plane to be with my parents, because lets face it life is so precious. Especially when you are far away from those you love the most.

Weekend Barf
I was exhausted, and then as if the universe knew that, D got a stomach bug. Vomiting, diarrhea, temp, but it was gone in 24hrs. He was tired the following two days, and i kept him on the BRAT diet....but was back with super ubber energy today meanwhile I caught a minor cold and had a sore sore throat :( by the way have anybody y'all ever tried pedialyte, that stuff is so nasty we couldn't even get D to eat the Popsicles?!? And by the way as a parent I have read about all the times parents have been thrown up on. It never had experienced said act until this weekend :) at least each time his daddy rushed him to the bathroom to give him a bath. There were also about 20 loads of laundry from the sickness and Disney world. No one else has gotten the stomach bug and I have the idea that it may have been the taco hell we are on our way back from Florida? For those of you wondering I ate a bean burrito plain, and chalupa with beans instead of meat :) desperate times called for me to eat out, B did fine. Still on a no blood streak even after WDW!.....back to sickness, I think Derek and I did pretty good at keeping boys away from each other. I literally sent Daddy & D upstairs while me & B stayed downstairs! It was actually nice to come back on a weekend vs coming back and jumping right back into everything. At least I had Derek home all weekend :) he actually put away a lot of laundry for me!

Day 3&4
It was such a joy taking D & B too WDW, everytime we were getting ready to leave hotel or get on a ride D would say......"And B is coming too" as if to make sure his brother was gonna be included in all the fun! Day 3 Animal Kingdom was ok, the best part were the Finding nemo musical, safari, wonders show & my lunch at yak & yeti! Lunch was a veggie, tofu and rice tofu for me and Derek got a sweet and sour tofu with white rice. It was hot that day, and we didn't do our usual go to hotel at lunch since there were more shows at animal kingdom! Dreycin did not nap that day until we got back to hotel, then when he woke up we went swimming then to get some chipotle! We called it a night after that! The last day we decided to go back to Magic Kingdom, everyday since we had been there D had talked about going back! So we skipped Going to Hollywood studios so we could ride all of his fav rides!!! We had a great morning @ fantasyland and rode a few rides we missed the first day! I actually rode two roller coasters the mt Everest one at animal kingdom and space mountain the last day. I'm hoping one of my boys will like roller coasters, since their dad doesn't!!! We finished up our afternoon with lunch at bongos Cuban cafe in downtown Disney! One of my favorite meals! That afternoon we napped, then headed back to Magic Kingdom to wrap up our 4th night with the electrical parade and wishes fireworks! The boys loved it, we also picked up a few souvenirs! B got a baby Mickey, and D got a spinning light up Mickey! We also got a photo album so we could let them look at their own Disney pics whenever!!!! We had made it the entire disney trip without an accident until that night, D was walking with his Mickey and didn't see the curb, fell and scraped his elbow. He was bleeding, crying, we went up to the room and all went to bed. The morning of checkout we went to the hotel restaurant and breakfast, Mickey waffles! I even had vegan ones chef Carlos made me! Afterward we let D wear himself out playing at the hotel park, then packed up to head home! What a wonderful time I had with my boys ;)

Day 2 Epcot
We had a shorter day today, started early again! It was hot, very sunny and i felt tired, sore in my hands. Early is the way to beat crowds. We eat breakfast in our room, then head out! @ Epcot there isn't a whole lot to do for toddlers, and is personally one of my least favorite parks.....except this time! Nemo was our first ride, then we looked around in the aquarium tanks, then went for turtle talk with crush! D loved it! We saw a short dolphin presentation then went to babycare center, changed diapers, fed B then onto the world showcase. First stop was Mexico for lunch! we ate at la cantina counter service. Derek and D shared carne nachos, I got an order of guacamole and chips with a side of black beans and rice. Again the manager came out and talked to me told me what I could order off the menu and was very helpful. I am happy with rice and beans everyday!!! Dreycin was amused with a squirrel who was eating his chips right to the side of us and the seagulls that kept coming over to try and steal food! We then rode the Viking boat ride in Norway, went back to Mexico to meet Donald duck & hear the mariachi band, and to ride the Mexican boat ride. They have these kidcot stops where you can have your child pick up a Duffy the Disney bear on a stick and color it from each country but D was acting like it was a sword so he wasn't into it. We walked to the rest of the countries, and I absolutely loved the landscaped greenery of the Disney characters. Dreycin ate his first Mickey mouse ice cream in America! He banged in the drums at the outpost, played some maracas and other noisemakers! Then they were both out! We decided to call it a day, I stopped at sunshine seasons to pick up some food that another vegan had written about....I'll take food anytime anywhere! Food, it's why Epcot this time was better in my eyes, and also seeing D so happy! Anyways, I ate tabuleh pin wheels and veggie sushi! Derek and I shared, and I also got some rocky mountain caramel popcorn! No allergens except soy, which I have slowly determined that B does not have reactions to! I also want to add that we have not had any blood in stool :)))) we took advantage to also window shop with two sleeping boys! I have to say that lil B has been a huge trooper, he has done so well, and is always smiling! Back to the hotel, we laid around for 3 or so hours being lazy then for ready to go to downtown Disney for dinner. Again I had done my research and ther were only a few options. We decided on fresh a peel, it was the first place we saw plus BABYCAKeS is here too! Which is a vegan based desserts company out of NYC! Derek and I both ate the veggie burger, mine was in a lettuce wrap though, and next door to fresh a peel was pollo campero and there were some yuca fries and sweet plantains that were allergen friendly I got too. Dessert was awesome, I shared with lil D a red velvet cupcake and a cookie crunch donut! We decided to walk more, went to the Lego store saw displays of toy story an snow white! Walked some more, browsed the stores, enjoyed a nice breeze! Tomorrow is animal kingdom! Then Thursday we will go back to Magic Kingdom to visit D's favorite rides and a few things we missed! I'm looking forward to going to main street bakery to get divvies cookies and chocolate tofutti ice cream.

Drive & Day 1 WDW
Our drive went great! We began our 4.5hr trip at nap time, 1pm. We got to Orlando at 630, went to chipotle(yummy, one of our fav food places) and then Super Target! We read that it was gonna rain on mon and tues. so Derek lil D and I got ponchos, plus Lil D a target brand of crocs for splashing in puddles! We also got a clear rectangle plastic table cloth for the double stroller! Way cheaper and it worked!!!! Our first day was at Magic Kingdom! It's been great so far, or magical I guess! Last night we stayed at buena vista palace in downtown Disney! We were on the 26th floor and could see Epcot fireworks from our room! This morning we got up, checked out and went to MK! We got a really good start, and rode alot of rides! First was Peter pan, then it's a small world, adventures of pooh, the mad tea party teacups. That was all before noon, D was a trooper! We had lunch at cosmic ray's. Both Derek and I had the veggie burger, mine was without the bun and they made my fries in a separate deep fryer because I let them know I was a vegetarian that did not eat dairy or eggs. The bun had eggs. The service was amazing when they found out the boys and I had allergies! A manager came and talked to us, made me feel very confidant about dining out. After lunch we went to mickey's 3d movie, which D did not like. We followed that with buzz lightyear ride and before heading to check in at French Quarter we caught the Mickey Dream along show, which D lOVEd! We ran into a minor bump checking in, all the computers systems were down for all of Disney and they had to manually check in everyone, it took two hours! We got to room I unpacked everyone everything for the week, and we literally had no time to relax like we had planned and had to get ready to go back to magical kingdom for dinner at the crystal palace with Pooh and friends! Well, the rain had held out but as soon as we got to the park it was pouring. Well since we had a reservation it was too late to cancel, so out came the ponchos, umbrella, and plastic table cloth cover! Our Joovy held up excellent in rainwith our plastic cover! The kids stayed dry and could see out so they were ok! We got to the crystal palace and we were too early....so we walked around and took advantage that the baby care center was right around the corner, changed diapers etc. During this time they had started the electrical parade and we caught glimpses here & there but didn't want to fight the crowd for a spot! We went back at our reservation time, I let them know about my allergies and they said they would send the chef. Took a little while, but she came and took me through the buffet line telling me what dishes qualified as vegan! I had alot more choices than I thought, BREAD rolls, vegetables, fruit, Cous Cous, edamame salad, brocoli, veggie pasta, ratatouille, rice, winter veggie medley, corn and peas. It was wonderful and filling. For dessert I had a vegan brownie and tofutti ice cream!!! Freaking amazing!!! While we were eating we caught glimpses of the fireworks Wishes show at the castle, it was pretty cool to watch from the restaurant! But the best experience was seeing the boys reactions to the characters! Dreycin loved on them, B did too and was actually cracking up laughing when he would touch them! It was the highlight of the evening! Pictures to come! After dinner we decided to walk around the park in adventure land and frontier land! Derek took D up to the Swiss Family treehouse, D and I rode Aladdins's magic carpet ride! Totally random occurrence on the monorail was meeting a woman from Columbia, we start talking about our boys and she asked me if I was breastfeeding, bc she was still BF'ing her 7month old boy she then proceeded to tell me her journey, which sounded exactly like our story. Her son too had blood in his stools, she too had to cut out dairy, and proteins. Totally weird, and here we are going back and forth in Spanish about our drama. I think eventually Derek figured out what we were talking about, but he could tell it was intense! At the end we exchanged phone numbers, they (her & husband) invited us to their house next time we come to Orlando. There is a reason for everything, and at that moment it felt so wonderful to have someone to talk to it about! We talked about the foods we ate, what brands, etc! her son has not had any blood in a while, and they have recently started solids here and there but mainly still breastfeeding. We both agreed that breastfeeding was the only option and
Shared the same idea of sacrifice for our children. Makes me want to cry thinking about our stories, and just running into this person at Disney World! How ironic!

159
I have not seen 150's since 2007! Last night we tried baked radish chips, Lil D and I ate most ourselves! Another great find on pinterest I believe! We also ate a whole baking sheet full of kale! I think trying all these new veggies is boosting my metabolism. One of my favorites still is bok choy, and it's a anti inflammatory food according to Dr Oz! Along with berries! Packing, getting ready to head out tomorrow!! Dreycin keeps telling everyone we see "I'm going to Disney World!!!" it's the cutest thing ever! I can't wait to see his reactions this entire week!
