Oh Glory Glory......Hemorrhoids

This may be too much information for some of you that havent been pregnant so BEWARE AS YOU READ ON!

So how come no one talks about the not so fun things in pregnancy. like the last 1.5wks of pregnancy where you have sharp pains from the baby being so far down in your pelvis that it hurts to walk, not to mention the rectal pressure the baby is putting on you which then causes Hemorrhoids?! Which today my doctor said that we can treat the pain and soreness but during pregnancy there is just not alot you can do, GREAT! This week i have been walking alot (since im 38wks and WANT to go into labor) which at this point made the hemorrhoids worse i think, so if you have hemorrhoids walking is not what you are suppose to be doing. Or how about that I have had to wear panty liners pretty much from the 1st trimester. Oh and let me add that this week I have officially reached that point where I can no longer sleep through the night, my sleep is like little naps I wake up ALOT to go pee or because my hips are aching so bad from sleeping on them for the past umm...10months, plus switching sides and moving my belly with my almost 8lb baby in it is not easy. Derek is also being deprived of sleep, everytime I go to get up he wakes up a little. If i take too long in the bathroom he says "R u ok" I think he is consciously not sleeping well because I could go into labor at any point now (hint hint Dreycin, come out come out wherever you are). The heartburn is also AWFUL, I eat so much TUMS extra strength that I often now wake up with a very dry mouth, with a bad after taste. Dreycin showed us on monday that he has a lot of hair, so thank you Dreycin for giving mommy tons of heartburn. SO yea I am way ready for Dreycin to be born now, which I have been eating spicy foods, drinking mint/herbal teas, and Softening my cErviX. I think after talking to my doctor today about my options I am going to start my FMLA 12weeks on monday Nov 2nd. So Dreycin, once again Mommy and Daddy are very excited to meet you so you can come on out, head toward the light!

  1. Hey girl I know the last couple weeks are the WORST!
As for the hemorrhoids, I never had them.
I walked A LOT the night I went into labor.

Try to be patient, he will be here before you know it!

  2. I feel ya on the no sleep part. I was so frustrated because everyone kept telling me to sleep as much as I can but I didnt sleep for more than about 3-4hrs at a time. It sucked! Hang in there! Once you see Dreycin, all of the suckiness of pregnancy will be a very distant memory. I honestly cant wait to do it all over again! Ha!

  3. I know all too well about the pelvic pain. There were times I was in tears b/c of it. I never had hemorrhoids, thank goodness. I also experienced the hip pain. I stopped sleeping in my bed when I was @ 6 or 7 months. I slept partially sitting up on our couch until I delivered. Actually, about a week or two afterwards b/c the hip/back pain was still there. A recliner saved my life & sanity w/my 2nd pregnancy. I wasn't so fortunate this time to have one. I pleaded with my belly the last couple of weeks for Emma to come out b/c I couldn't take it any longer. Hang in there though...you're almost there!! Once you feast your eyes on that beautiful baby you'll forget (well, almost forget) about all the bad stuff. :)
