Derek's Bday
Today is Derek's 29th bday! I didnt get him a xmas present but got out today and went and bought the mophie iphone cover charger for his iphone, its pretty cool. I also got him a car charger & itunes giftcard for downloads for his iphone. His Dad Joe sent him a giftcard, and his dad Alan took us to Outback tonight....yummy:) my mom stayed home and watched Dreycin because we were going to take him and the wait at Outback was 70minutes so we took my mom and Dreycin home. I just couldnt see keeping Dreycin out that long. Tonight we made oatmeal cookies and sat around the house watchin tv, playing around on the computers. I love my hubby very much, Feliz cumpleanos mi amor.
Dreycin's 1st xmas
Christmas was a quiet peaceful day. Derek picked up his Dad Alan from the airport, they came home and we ATE, and ATE, and ATE! I made (fresh) green bean casserole, mac n cheese casserole, and sweet potato souffle. I ordered brisket from whole foods and made some banana pudding for dessert. My mom also made some banana nut and pumpkin loaves. Dreycin slept most of the day, and when I tried to wake him he got upset as you can see in some of the pics. Dreycin got some clothes from his dad, and we also got him some books. Papa K got Dreycin his first hot wheels and a nike jacket. Abuela y Abuelo doss got Dreycin books, and a lamaze mirror. Papa K got me my first mommy gift, a charm braclet from James Avery with two charms one that said mommy and one that is booties. its so cute! Dreycin was dressed like santa! And pepper had his xmas bowtie! Dreycin also got some $ from his Mamaw Gwartney and the Bearces, so i got on amazon and ordered him that activity center from a few posts back. Dreycin slept most of the day so he had a party last night staying awake. i stayed up from 12-3am and derek was up from 3am-5amish. i went to bed this morning from 11am-3pm to get caught up! I am looking very forward to next xmas when Dreycin can rip through his presents and be AWAKE!

Xmas Eve
Last night Dreycin's bed time story was a little different. I thought since my dad couldnt be here for xmas we would skype and he could read to him. My dad read to him from the Bible Luke chapters 1 & 2 and then the christmas story. It was the nice start of tradition for Dreycin, to know the true meaning of xmas when Jesus was born.
Its actually xmas morning and everyone, including my little piggy is still sleeping. Dreycin did so well last night slept to stretches for 4hrs! Yay, i feel really rested! I finally have him on this eat, play, nap schedule during the day and at the 3am feeding he is going right back to sleep! This morning Derek's stepdad Alan is flying in for Dreycin's 1st xmas! anyways, we are having a xmas lunch. I made greenbean casserole, mac n cheese, sweet potato casserole, and banana pudding. I ordered brisket from whole foods, which is my favorite! My mom made some banana nut & pumpkin loaves.
Dreycin's mamaw Laverne and The bearce family sent him some money so I went ahead and ordered his Baby Einstein Around the world activity center. there is a pic of it a few posts back!

D-Rex 2.0
I so want to buy this for Little Dreycin Rex....but its not for little kids. but i figured i could buy it for when he's older!??

Best Toys 2009
Who wouldn’t want to have a pet dinosaur? Wait, a pet dinosaur? Yes, a pet dinosaur! Children who are over the age of six often love the idea of dinosaurs. They seem larger than life (and generally were) and are creatures that look as though they should have come out of someone’s imagination, not out of history. That’s why there are so many different dinosaur toys for young children. But D-Rex 2.0 is not a toy that is just for children to play with, but is a way for children to have their own pet dinosaur.
What Is It?
D-Rex 2.0 is a toy that is designed to be a ferocious pet dinosaur! He looks a bit like a cartoon version of a dinosaur, with rounded angles and larger feet, but those feet are necessary in order to allow him to move around on the floor. He has rubbery skin that simulates real reptile skin and which feels much like a reptile does. His large feet and yellow eyes make him a little scary looking, but in reality he has a real soft spot for young children, especially children who are willing to give him a scratch behind his head!
He runs on batteries and can do a variety of things. He comes with a bone controller which allows you to control exactly what he does. The commands include attack, which makes him roar and launch forward, prank, which makes him make bodily noises to the delight of young boys, guard, which helps him to guard a room, future telling, in which he can tell you what your future is by answering yes or no questions, and even seek, where he uses sound to find where you are in a room.
The Pluses
D-Rex 2.0 is a great example of how much fun electronic toys can be. He doesn’t really have virtual intelligence, but he can almost seem like he does on seek and guard modes. Boys will love that he looks a little scary, and all children will love the hilarious things that he does, especially when he’s on prank mode or when you give him a little scratch or two.
The Minuses
This one can eat up batteries, but any good electronic toys does. When in seek mode it can be a bit difficult for the dino to find children if the room is crowded or there is a lot of background noise, but in a quieter environment, it can find almost anyone. The biggest problem is that he can be a bit scary for children who are under the age of eight, so it is a good idea to heed the manufacturer’s warning and to not purchase him for very young children.

Here are some pics of Dreycin and us! The one were Im BF'ing Dreycin is funny because pepper kept wining and finally I said well come on up, and he came and laid with Dreycin on the boppy? I guess he is WAY more accepting of my motherly duties, and just has to find ways to be included! He even got in the xmas pic with us!
