Possible transfer job

Yesterday I was looking on my work website which shows job positions and I came across an opening PRN(as needed) for a social worker at Kosair Children's hospital and after talking with the hiring manager today we scheduled an interview for next friday. She said the need for this position is women going out on maternity leave, vacations, and sometimes weekends. I would be working where ever they needed me in the hospital, oncology, med surg, NICU and so on. And the pay for PRN is more than salary which is a bonus. The truth is that I would love to work full time and be a full time mom, but I wont do it. I also took another PRN position through Jewish Hospital system when I was 5months pregnant as an assessment clinician doing psychiatric assessments on saturdays which pays very well, and I thought that I would just make a gradual transition to. But as time came to leave my current job I couldn't do it. 1st reason is this economy, If you have a job and quit then you want to work again you may not find a job?! 2nd reason is that the position I have at Norton although sometimes sad is what I love doing, and went to school for 7yrs &(20k debt). I remember in 2006 I was doing my social work internship at Parkland and LOVED it so much I decided I was going to get my master degree. You really have to have a heart to do social work, but you also have to know how to separate your work from personal life, which involves ALOT of self care! My job at Norton and Jewish are totally diferent fields (hospital vs psychiatric) in social work and enjoy both, one thing about Norton is that I have benefits like a flexible spending account, short term disability, 401k so i dont want to leave any of that, and that is why I would rather stay with Norton HEalthcare system rather than lose all of that. And if later on I decide to go back FT or PT I am already an employee within the system. Ihave to add that NOrton HEalthcare has won the award two years in a row as one of the best places to work in Kentucky and when we moved here it took me 3months to find a job. Good jobs in this city are hard to come by, and we'll be here for about 3more years. I have to admit that I like making money, contributing to our household. I mean Derek's job pays the bills, but for us to be able to keep building on our savings, have spending money, take vacations, not to mention the cost of having kids.....I need to work doing something! As I type this my precious boy is laying in my lap, I know that working two PRN positions is better than a full time position because then I can also work around my mom's schedule for babysitting! When your in a city and know no one, well that I would trust with my kid a MOM is the next best thing. So say your prayers for me getting this new position! gotta go feed the piggy.....

Oh and the VET called Pepper is doing good and in recovery!
