Yesterday i had two appointments one with my high risk Ob and one with my Rheumatologist. Baby's heartbeat was about 148 and we did not get to find out the sex:( but we will find out in about 2wks at our anatomy scan!! right in time for the showers when we come home!! My mom had just gotten here at noon, Derek and her came by my work picked me up and we were on our way. Basically everything is going well with baby, my measurements are good but he had to give me another RX for zofran, he said hopefully it will ease up a little bit now that im further along...but tuesday was awful lunch and dinner came up and it was disgusting. We talked about down syndrome testing, and derek and i decided that we wouldn't do it at this point due to the risk i already carry, but an amnio also increases chance of miscarriage. Derek's exact words were "No matter what we will raise this child." My rheumatologist at this point is staying conservative with my medications even though my lupus is acting up, i swear it has a mind of its own. He wants me to go parttime, but im not quite that willing yet, i still have to save up a little to either stay home for 12wks with no pay or stay home permanently to raise the baby. He said limit my walking to not put pressure on my joints, but said my yoga 3X a week is ok. Im just taking tylenol to control some of the swelling and joint pain...im also loving the warm baths. After all our appointments I came back to work to pick up my car and we went to eat at California pizza kitchen.....which was really good. Derek had this desser that looked so good, but i just knew it would make me sick so i didnt even try it. Anyways, im praying and hoping that I will start to feel better lupus and pregnancy. Its sometimes frustrating because some women are like Ive never felt better....and im like can my body just stop aching....but its all for a miracle at the end.
PS my mom(and dad) brought me lots of gifts....which included awesome maternity clothes from the GAP, they are so cute compared to what i have seen here in KY at the 1maternity store they have! she also bought me a beautiful new bible, its lavender cover is lined with silver and she had my name engraved in it. its beautiful. last night we ready from matthew, about worry...
